Dear Dr. Boebinger:

On behalf of the local educators who comprise the Community Classroom Consortium (CCC), I wish to sincerely thank you and your organization for allowing our members to participate during your annual Open House. For the past seven years, our ability to reach thousands of visitors on a single day has proved crucial to the educational outreach that we strive to bring to the community. Due to the fruits of our partnership, local teachers are able to provide field trips that involve projects as diverse as 4th grader video presentations on aquatic research at Shadeville Elementary to over-night camping adventures involving journaling, science, arts, crafts and cooking for 2nd grade Buck Lake elementary students. These are just a sampling of the creative activities that are made possible as a result of the outreach that your Open House provides to our community.

As a non-profit entity, the proceeds from the Silent Auction that we hold at the Open House is the primary means by which we support area teachers who seek to integrate these kinds of non-formal education programs into their classroom. Your support, now more than ever, is critical. This year we were able to raise enough money at the Silent Auction to support five new teacher grants. To express our appreciation, we would like to provide a small token of our appreciation in the form of complementary "National High Magnetic Field Laboratory magnets" that can be distributed to thousands of your visitors each year. We welcome the input of your outstanding education director, Dr. Patricia Dixon (an active member and former CCC president ) to help facilitate a suitable memento for your visitors.
